Editorial team and method

Rachid Mermans has documented the Belgian market since 2015 and tests every operator personally with licences as a constant point of attention. Lives and works in Brussel.

How we test. every test starts with a real account, deposit via Bancontact, start a withdrawal and keep an eye on the clock. White or black: we look the operator up at the Gaming Commission and dig through the general terms. No claim without our own observation.

An affiliate fee sits on the outbound links; the text above does not depend on it. An operator without a Belgian licence is described as such, commission or not.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The rules on player protection here run more strictly than most of its neighbours with concrete consequences for your account. The standard limit runs to €200 per week per site.

The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: a single request is enough to stay out everywhere at once. The entry point is the Gaming Commission. Since 1 September 2024 the minimum age is 21 for casino, gaming hall and betting; the National Lottery is the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.
